CitizenLink

A new Work Orders portal for resident service requests.

Potholes, missed pickups, broken streetlights, and drainage problems usually reach public works by phone or email, then get retyped into a work order. The rebuilt Work Orders CitizenLink portal lets residents report those issues themselves, and puts each request in front of the right department in Vantage Work Orders.

Open to every resident

Most CitizenLink portals start from an existing record, like a utility account or a business license. Service requests come from anyone, so the Work Orders portal lets residents create their own account with a name, email, and phone number. They confirm by email and can reset their own password.

Requests that route themselves

Residents choose a request type from the list your staff maintain, describe the problem, and say where it is. The request type determines which department receives it. Staff in that department are notified by email, and the request lands in a review queue where staff confirm it and turn it into a work order.

Status residents can check

Residents see every request they've submitted. New requests show as pending review. Once staff confirm a request, residents see the live status of the work order, which cuts down on "any update?" phone calls. Residents also set their own communication preferences.

Part of the same system

Because the portal writes into Vantage Work Orders, the requests are tracked, assigned, and reported on with the rest of your work orders. There's nothing to export or re-key. Work Orders CitizenLink is available to Vantage Work Orders customers as an add-on, alongside the other CitizenLink portals.
